to the growth of the Vasan Healthcare group for over 60 years. Pharmacists in this important department join a legacy of
over 300 qualified pharmacists across the group. The role empowers the candidate not only to improve and develop his/her
knowledge of the eye care speciality, but also to deliver every element of patient care under one roof. Something that
over 3 million patients have appreciated over the past decade.
Some of the Duties and responsibilities* of a Pharmacist at Vasan Eye Care Hospital
Prescriptions on demand!
Indenting of fast moving drugs in relation to stock levels
Responding to medication-related queries from within the hospital and walk-in querries
Responsible for regular check of expiry of drugs
Liaising with consultants and other fellow health care professionals to ensure the delivery of safe, effective
and economic drug treatment
Communicating to patients on the effects, dosage and route of administration of their drug treatments
Ensure medicinal products are stored appropriately and securely to ensure freshness and potency
Being responsible for the accurate dispensing and timely distribution of drugs and medicines for inpatients and outpatients
To undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade as requested.
Generating reports and maintaining statutory compliance
