The role of an optometrist close to the core of our team of over 3500 paramedical staff across our expanding network. Delivering the first stance of clinical care within the walls of our super specialty eye hospitals carries important responsibilities of care, confidence and passion for excellence. Optometrists duties range from preliminary examinations of patients (i.e.) vision screening, depth and colour perception; to diagnostic procedures like A-scan, perimetry, corneal topography, pachymetry, specular microscopy and contact lens assessments.

Some of the Duties and responsibilities* of an Optometrist at Vasan Eye Care Hospital

Enhancing Vision starts here!

To estimate patient vision, prevalence of eye disease and vision disorders
To execute diagnostic procedures at the hospital under proper clinical protocol
To legibly record proper case details as per the clinical protocol
To participate in outreach programmes and academic events
To maintain equipment and accessories under possession with utmost care
To assist all specialty clinics in rotation
To effectively utiliize equipment required for specialty clinics and to assist doctors on call
To manage contact lenses clinics in rotation
To undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade as requested
