Assisting doctors while in surgery
To prepare and maintain OT area- sterilization/fumigation and cleanliness, for the admission of patients
To maintain stock of OT consumables, linen and lens (IOL)
To admit clients and to explain the clinic routines
To explain post operative instructions and any special instructions/information required by the surgeon
To provide support and reassurance to clients in times of anxiety or distress
To deliver care in accordance with identified standards and contribute towards developmental standards
To maintain a helpful, courteous approach to clients, visitors and colleagues at all times
To undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade as requested
